JURY DUTY
little did I know last Monday
when I reported to Jury Duty
I would be on the jury of a murder trial
it lasted all week and I must say
that it was an honor to be a part of
our judicial system
in such a major way
the days were long & intense
with all the aspects one would expect
from such a serious act where a
17 year old was killed
as I try this weekend to "shake off" the world
I have a new found faith in our courts
& the decision makers
that are part of the process
in a way -
I felt that it was the something I could do
as our brave military defend America's rights
across this world -
freedom, justice & protections
it was an experience that I will never forget
we the jury found
the defendent guilt of murder
and sentenced him to Life in prision
with gratitude to our honorable courts
Presiding Juror
So that is the reason we have not heard from you----you were selected to be on the jury. What an experience! I kept up with the case via the newspaper and the local news. Thank you for serving in our judicial system.
